Well, my house lost power around 0830 this morning. My parents house in Pensacola, where Tammy & the girls are staying, still has power. I have been listening to the radio and it does not sound good in the greater New Orleans area. God be with them all.

I finally powered up my laptop and connected to the Internet by dialing into Eglin's 1-800 number and then launched a Terminal Server session. 24K connections are pretty slow but I will take it. I am so addicted to fast instant access to information by either cable TV or high speed connectivity to the Internet that I feel lost when I lose those information paths. e.g. A Borg seperated from the collective.
