Spring Thoughts

"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." - Albert Einstein

As Spring weather breaks the grip of winter and all of creation comes alive as evidenced by the warming temperatures, budding flowers, shrubs, trees and migrating birds it is quite easy to shift our focus from the birth, death and resurrection of Christ to our own pursuits.
...
I find it interesting that when you read the first few verses of the book of Acts you read where Jesus after rising from the grave returned to His disciples and began to teach them.

"In my former book, Theophilus, I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles he had chosen. After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God."
- Acts 1:1-3

I think that the forty days following Easter Sunday can be a very good reminder to all of Christs followers that teaching, instruction and spiritual growth are not to be overlooked or neglected. I encourage you to consider the following questions.
...
Who is teaching (discipling) you today, this week, this month?
...
Who are you teaching (discipling) today, this week, this month?
...
If you are uncertain, unhappy or unconcerned about your answer to either of the questions above I would strongly encourage you to spend some time in prayer and meditation seeking guidance for your growth and for those you can help grow.
...
Grace & Peace
