The God said.....

Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yeilding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them, after their kind, and it was so;

The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yeilding seeds after their kind , and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind, and God saw that it was good."

Genesis 1:11-12

"God creates. Man makes."

I was struck by the thought above recently. Don't know if I am fully convinced yet but it is an interesting idea. For all the accomplishments attributed to humans man has never really created anything. We put together, we take apart, we rearrange, we reorder, we sort, we count, we learn, but man doesn't really create anything. Man makes things.

Create, verb, To cause to come into being as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is not made by ordinary processes.

Make, verb, to bring into existence by shaping or changing material, combining parts, etc.
