Easter Week 2015

...
Today Christians around the world celebrated Palm Sunday and the beginning of "Holy Week".  The events of this celebrated week which occurred almost 2,000 years ago have laid the foundation for the Christian faith. It can be quite easy to get caught up and distracted by the beautiful Spring weather, March Madness, Spring Break, or a myriad of other things in our lives and not pause and reflect upon the events celebrated this week. I encourage everyone to take some time each day this week and think about the Jesus and what he went through each day of that week.

Spring Break 2015

"There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—
A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace."

Winter is losing its grip and Spring approaches. I really love this time of the year as the amount of daylight lengthens and the temperatures start to warm up.  It also means Spring Break season is upon us. Ashley is home from FSU for a week and Tammy is off from her duties at Oriole Beach Elementary next week. This year is ambling right along and as I look at my calendar for March and April I soon realize how filled up it is already. I can't complain too much since I wouldn't change a thing in my life right now. All I can do is say, "Thank you Lord for the blessings you have lavished upon me."
