Season Finale

Gulf Breeze losses it State Championship match against Bishop Moore 2-1.

Well, the Lady Dolphins put up a great fight in Ft Lauderdale but were unsuccessful in defeating the Bishop Moore Hornets.

Well done Lady Dolphins!

Lady Dolphins Win Semi-Final Match

This evening the Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphins defeated the Cypress Lake Panthers 3-1 in the State Semi-Final match at Lochart Stadium, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. See Friday night PNJ blog posting. The Lady Dolphins dominated the Panthers from the beginning of the match scoring their first goal off a Penalty Kick about halfway through the first half. Two more goals sealed the fate of the Panthers who managed to score with about 12 minutes remaining.

Saturday at 2PM EST the Lady Dolphins will play against the Bishop Moore Hornets who defeated Rockledge 2-0.

Destination Ft Lauderdale - Final Four Bound!

Well done Lady Dolphins!

Last night the Gulf Breeze Lady Dolphins defeated the Bishop Kenny Crusaders 1-0 in what was, in my opinion, one of the most physical matches our girls have played all season. The Pensacola News Journal has a pretty good article with pictures about the victory. Jacksonville.Com also had a small summary about the match. The Lady Dolphins were able to move the ball well and take numerous shots however the Crusader defense played great taking away the close shots and their goalkeeper made several really nice saves.

The next match will be the 4A state semi-final match this coming Friday at 5pm EST against Ft Myers Cypress Lake High School at Lockhart Stadium in Ft Lauderdale, Fl.
