Thanksgiving Day 2007

.
"I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High."

Psalm 7:17

.
"I will give you thanks, for you have answered me; you have become my salvation."
-Psalms 118:21
.
"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus"
-1 Thessalonians 5:17-18
.
"We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign."
-Revelations 11:17
.
Well the smell of turkey, onions and celery cooking are starting to permeate the house as Tammy & I begin preparing for our guest who will begin arriving around 1100. With 21 friends & family coming I suspect the house will quickly become a symphony of conversations. I am truly grateful for the relationships that have blessed my life. I am also struck by the stark contrast and similarities between last Sunday evening at the community meal FCC served at Loaves & Fishes and Thanksgiving dinner at our house.

Back on Standard Time

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Theresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson and Albert Einstein. - H. Jackson Brown

LSU 41 - Alabama 34

LSU vs Alabama was quite the game last night keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the final minute of play. A fairly impressive win considering that the Tigers had to overcome 14 penalties for over 130 yards, 3 Matt Flynn interceptions and 3 calls on the field reversed by the Reply Official to the advantage of LSU. Whew!

One More Season

Courage is... the knowledge of how to fear what ought to be feared and how not to fear what ought not to be feared. - David Ben-Gurion

The 2007/2008 High School soccer season has started and for our family that means one more season of Lady Dolphin soccer. New coaches, new coaching philosophy, new varisty players, new parents, and a daughter who is a senior makes for quite a mixture as we start this last season.
.
Good luck Lady Dolphins!
